About the event

Join Di Vernon, a retired nurse and midwife who has reinvented herself as glass artist and blacksmith. Now resident blacksmith and glass artist at Middleton Hall and Gardens. The talk follows Di’s journey with glass, the three disciplines of glass being : leaded glass : stained glass windows and panels, copper foiling: suncatchers and fused glass : coasters, bowls. Then the ultimate combining blacksmithing and glass to create small and large garden stakes.

During the talk Di offers a chance for a volunteer or two to cut glass. Also there are lots of opportunities to ask questions.

Entry is from 6pm, with the talk beginning at 7pm. Tea/Coffee and a slice of cake is included in the ticket price.
