The Peel Museum
Located inside Middleton Hall is the Peel Museum. Encompassing the history of Drayton Manor; The Peel Family and a potted history of Policing in the U.K., the museum is free to visit for anyone with an admission ticket to Middleton Hall & Gardens (donations to the society are openly welcomed - and encouraged).
The Police
As Home Secretary, Sir Robert Peel created the Metropolitan Police, laying the foundations for the police with the 'Peelian Principles'.
A portion of the museum is dedicated to policing throughout the years, including fascinating documents; uniform and equipment amongst many other wonderful items.
